For over four decades, the Utah State Aggies have played in Logan, UT, home to what was once known as Romney Stadium. The stadium opened on September 14, 1968 when the Aggies played New Mexico State. It opened as Utah State University, but a year later was renamed Romney Stadium after the all time winningest football coach at Utah State, E.L. Romney.

The stadium originally had a seating capacity of 15,000 and was expanded in 1980, adding 10,000 seats. In 1999 new bleachers, scoreboards and a sound system was added to the facility. In 2004 the grass playing field was replaced with an artificial turf similar to Fieldturf, SprinTurf. Romney Stadium was renamed Maverik Stadium in April 2015 after the Utah based convenience store chain purchased the naming rights to the facility. Funding from this deal allows the university to renovate the stadium. The west side press box and part of the west side seating will be demolished and replaced with a new press box and suite tower. It will house 24 luxury boxes, 24 loge boxes and 700 covered club seats.
