It’s almost that time of the year for the win or go home college basketball spectacle we all love

If there was ever an excellent example of “Win and you’re in-loose and you go home” tournament it’s the NCAA championship tournament that is held every year in the month of March. For most of us it’s called March Madness. For about three weeks the games live up to their name and the hype. It’s insane. It can be a crazy time where basketball dreams are made and hearts are broken. A team’s entire season can hang in the balance. You can be a sub 500 team and still win it all. You can be undefeated and loose the season of a life time with just one defeat. Yes, its that easy. Your collegiate legacy can come down to one missed free throw, one made three point shot. Win or loose The NCAA Tournament is competition in its purest form and every American loves it. I’ve seen entire states shut down during game time, grown men and woman shedding tears, beer cans flung at televisions and BBQ’s thrown over the fence all over a win or a loss by kids in college. Crazy right? That’s why they call it March Madness! This year of course will be no different from years gone past when it comes to March Madness. With selection Sunday just a few days away we’re gonna see who the final teams will be. Many teams, regardless of regular season record, get into the tournament by winning their respective conference championships. Other teams are placed by the “committee “ and we all know what that means right?. Its not exactly like college football but it’s close, sort of. Teams from the Sunbelt conference and Ivy League, ...

A's Ballpark in Las Vegas

Las Vegas Does It Again, arguably it has become the entertainment capital of the world.

The Stadium will be located on the Las Vegas Strip, a 33,000-person capacity ballpark provides an outdoor feel with views of the city, Owners of all MLB teams unanimously approved the move.

LAS VEGAS - The Tropicana was dubbed the "Tiffany of the Strip," described as the most expensive hotel-casino built in Las Vegas when it opened with three stories and 300 rooms in 1957 at a cost of $15 million. Old timers look back and recall an era when Frank Sinatra once preformed at the Tropicana and he probably sang this song “so now that the end is near, I find it so amusing”

The new stadium on the Vegas Strip will sit on the site of the former Tropicana Hotel and Casino, it is expected to be completed for the start of the 2028 MLB season. Apparently not soon enough for the A’s owner John Joseph Fisher who since decided to let the A’s current lease at the Oakland Coliseum expire, much to the dismay of the local fans. So, instead of staying at the Coliseum, the team will spend three seasons at Sutter Health Park in West Sacramento, currently the home of the San Francisco Giants' Triple-A affiliate River Cats. This interim move will bring to a close 56 years of professional baseball in Oakland, thus now leaving the city without a single major professional sports franchise for the first time since 1959.
