It’s not easy being a Florida Panthers fan these days. With the celebrations planned since the Panthers went up 3-0 on The Edmonton Oilers there’s been a collective sigh of disappointment now that the series is tied at 3 games a piece. A conclusive and sure to be exciting game seven takes place this Monday night in the Florida heat. Will Florida win its first Stanley Cup ever?? Can a parade be possible in South Florida to celebrate? Only the sports gods know the answer to that question. As for me, I’ve been sweating out a 15 dollar bet for what seems like a month now. I’m looking forward to it just being over so we can move on to newer and brighter horizons in the sports world. Also, I’ve been loosing picks hand over foot this month. I need a winner! Let’s get it done!!! Why did I not listen to our own Concesious handicappers and go with there podcast recommendation, why because I went with my heart, not their pick.Speaking of new horizons, we’re just a few weeks away from the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris and considering the last games were smack in the middle of The Covid Era I’m thinking that these games will be spectacular, maybe even historic. LAS VEGAS - The Tropicana was dubbed the "Tiffany of the Strip," described as the most expensive hotel-casino built in Las Vegas when it opened with three stories and 300 rooms in 1957 at a cost of $15 million. The new stadium on the Vegas Strip will sit on the site of the former Tropicana Hotel and Casino, it is expected to be completed for the start of the 2028 MLB season. Apparently not soon enough for the A’s owner John Joseph Fisher who since decided to let the A’s current lease at the Oakland Coliseum expire, much to the dismay of the local fans. So, instead of staying at the Coliseum, the team will spend three seasons at Sutter Health Park in West Sacramento, currently the home of the San Francisco Giants' Triple-A affiliate River Cats. This interim move will bring to a close 56 years of professional baseball in Oakland, thus now leaving the city without a single major professional sports franchise for the first time since 1959.
