Red Sox outfielder Adam Duvall lands on IL due to broken wrist, out for extended period

Boston Red Sox outfielder Adam Duvall was placed on the disabled list Monday due to a fractured left wrist, according to the organization.

Duvall suffered a distal left wrist fracture while attempting a diving grab in the outfield against the Detroit Tigers on Sunday. The term "responsibility" refers to the act of determining whether or not a person is responsible for his or her own actions. He failed to make the catch and instantly grasped his wrist in pain.

Duvall did not go to Florida with the Red Sox for their four-game series against the Tampa Bay Rays, which begins Monday. In Boston, he was getting more wrist testing. The term "responsibility" refers to the act of determining whether or not a person is responsible for his or her own actions.

"He's a good player," Cora remarked, according to The Associated Press. "It's a huge setback. But, at the same time, someone needs to take the lead. We hope he returns at some time."

Duvall had surgery last summer on his left wrist to repair a ruptured tendon, but Cora said this current issue is "on the other side" and unconnected. The testing are "going on just to make sure," he said.

Duvall is on fire. In eight games this season, he batted 455 with four home runs and 14 RBIs. The Red Sox are 5-4 heading into the Rays series. Cora stated that the team will alternate outfield coverage for Duvall until he is able to return, rather than appointing a more permanent substitute.

"We have to mix and match and try to maximize the entire roster with the way we're going to do it now," Cora told MassLive.
