2025 NFL Draft betting, odds, lines: Shedeur Sanders to the Saints? Oddsmakers think so

Shedeur Sanders opened as the +300 favorite at BetMGM to be drafted No. 1 overall last year, and while that ship has likely sailed — Sanders is currently 66-1 to be drafted first in the 2025 NFL Draft, which starts April 24, while Cam Ward is -10000 — Sanders remains the biggest liability in that market at sportsbooks.

A more interesting question revolves around which team will draft Sanders, and potentially if Jaxson Dart passes him as the second quarterback selected. The QB position is always one of supply and demand in the league, and the number of open positions is lower than usual as the draft approaches — although free agent Aaron Rodgers' decision looms large as well.

BetMGM opened a market this week on the team to draft Sanders, and the New Orleans Saints have the best odds at +220, followed by the Pittsburgh Steelers (+400), New York Giants (+425) and Cleveland Browns (+500).

The New York Jets (10-1), Las Vegas Raiders (12-1) and Los Angeles Rams (12-1) are the only other NFL teams with better than 25-1 odds.

The Saints draft at No. 9 overall and have Derek Carr under contract as their probable starting QB, but it seems likely they'll be moving on from him in 2026. The Steelers, who select 21st overall, are still waiting on Rodgers' decision, while the Giants, who signed Jameis Winston and Russell Wilson, and the Browns, who traded for Kenny Pickett with Deshaun Watson injured, don't have a long-term solution at QB on the roster.

While the Browns at No. 2 and Giants at No. 3 may pass on Sanders with their first picks, there is also the possibility the teams trade back into the first round to draft him if he gets by the Saints at No. 9 and begins to fall.
