Scheumann Stadium, home of the Ball State Cardinals, is one of the smallest stadiums in the Mid-American Conference. Located in Muncie, Indiana, a new stadium for the Cardinals was constructed for the start of 1967 season and the Cardinals made their debut at the stadium on September 16, 1967.

Since its opening in 1967, the stadium has changed very little. The stadium consists of three sets of one-tier grandstands, one on each side of the gridiron and one set at the south endzone. In 2005, Ball State Stadium was renamed Scheumann Stadium after John and June Scheumann donated $4 million to the $13 million stadium campaign to enlarge and improve the facility. Recent improvements included a larger pressbox, luxury suites, new ticket offices, façade work and constructing seating on the north end to increase the seating capacity to just over 22,500. Work began after the 2006 season and was completed by the Cardinals home opener in 2007. The latest addition to the stadium is a 33 feet wide by 18 feet tall HD video/scoreboard installed before the 2013 season.
