Seattle Mariners outfielder Jarred Kelenic was optioned to Triple-A Tacoma on Thursday. He was recalled by the Mariners on July 31 and struggled with a .074 batting average with two RBI and two runs scored across 27 plate appearances since being called up. The 23-year-old will look to turn things around in the minors and should be in line for a September call-up when rosters expand. Julio Rodriguez (wrist) was activated from the injured list in a corresponding move. Rodriguez had been dealing with a wrist contusion and will return to the lineup Friday against the Texas Rangers.
